Description
This is a “P-18-ized”version of the Sci Oly Sea Story, and it works quite well! You’ll see a few themes from other kits. I use the same easily-adjusted bayonet-type wingmount as on the Tess, and the same prop setup as on the First Derivative (Molded 6” IGRA/Ikara with 3-D printed hanger and genuine Peck-Polymers shaft and bearing.) The three-panel wing is slightly more challenging than the two-panel First Derivative, but not really. A jig is included to help get those dihedral breaks just right. This was used at the NATS for a group build session, and it worked well in that setting. I used a stock kit as my own entry. The kit includes 1/16th rubber, which has proven to be a good size in a typical gym setting. 7.5 grams/18″ span. Replacement rubber: 1/16″ or .07″
