It’s an update to the very successful Tess design for TSA competition. The new rules restrict span to 40 CM while keeping other parameters intact. Minimum weight is now 8.0 g. The kit includes HDPE polyethylene covering for maximum weight savings. An Ikara propset, genuine Peck wheels and wire for landing gear, about 10 feet of .08 rubber and the usual Laser-Cut Planes photo-illustrated instructions. Instructions cover building, covering, winding and trimming, making this a very nice introduction to free flight for students, coaches and parents. Enjoy!
A change is coming! Due to unforeseen supply issues, for the foreseeable future I’m no longer able to equip this kit with the Ikara propset as seen in the photos. Instead, I’ll be equipping the Tess 25 with the high-performing yellow molded 6″ propset (also by Ikara) with which I equip my best-performing P-18 models. In my opinion this is not a downgrade. Not only is this propeller well reputed from a performance perspective, but it also takes a hit better than the original during those unfortunate collisions with walls and girders.
